Our family of 6 stopped by for lunch on our way back to McAllen. The Grandkids were starving. We didn’t have any big meal items but the kids loved the food and so did we. Got seated quickly and the Server was so nice. I would definitely go back for the crawfish next time! Nice environment with live music on a Saturday afternoon ver high recommendation to go have lunch or dinner at Blackbeards!
Even on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend, we didn't have to wait too long. Food and service was great! Atmosphere was nice.. busy but not loud. Great family atmosphere and acoustic guitar.
4 of us enjoyed dinner here. All the dishes were prepared with chef quality finesse! Absolutely DELICIOUS!
Started with seafood queso...superb! Then tackled the fried shrimp basket. Young lady serving us was great. Very attentive. LOTS of food, but was able to wobble out happy.
The red snapper was DELICIOUS and very worth it! The service was fast and friendly also. The decor was cool to look at and there is also an option to sit outside on patio chairs with an umbrella. If we ever come back to this town we will definitely stop back by!
A little dark in the room (dark walls, dim lighting), but otherwise everything was good. Pleasant, helpful waitress. Coconut shrimp was delicious. My suggestion: Add finely crushed pineapple to the coconut cream sauce (which accompanies the coconut shrimp) and it would be perfect. By the way, the tartar sauce was unusual and some of the best I have ever eaten. This restaurant was a great alternative to eating at the original Blackbeard's (or Pier 99) next to the Texas State Aquarium. Both restaurants were insanely crowded on Sunday afternoon.
Everything was lovely. The staff was very friendly very knowledgeable. The big red Margarita was great. I had fried fish fried shrimp fried oysters and a baked potato boy was that good boy howdy I want to go there again and I normally don't go to the same place twice.
Great all around! Hometown haunt atmosphere w/relaxing vibes and live music. The catfish was plentiful and incredibly fresh. The Mahi, perfectly done. Don't miss out on the fried mushrooms stop in...you won't regret it!
